The actress has levelled a $50 million lawsuit against Star magazine, which ran a January cover story implying she was a hardcore drug addict and on the verge of a split from husband Tom Cruise. "Star magazine's malicious claims about Katie are untrue, unethical and unlawful," Holmes' attorney, Bert Fields, wrote in a statement. "Not only do they cruelly defame Katie, they play a cheap trick on the public, making ridiculously false claims on the cover unsupported by anything inside."

Courtney Cox got wet and wild  in a teeny-weeny two-piece while filming Cougar Town in Hawaii on Wednesday. She credits plenty of gym time for her fab physique. "Some people might not want to show the parts of them that aren't the best but I work out really hard," says Cox, who has trained with celeb fitness guru Tracy Anderson. "I try really hard." It's paying off. Costar and rumoured beau Brian Van Holt took notice. During the shoot, the pair had separate rooms but "Brian went in and out of her suite four times a day," a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly. However, a Cox pal insists the two are just friends.

When challenged by Salman Khan to munch on local Thai insects, she actually did! Inspired by the contestants of Fear Factor, who tuck into creepy crawlies as a challenge, Salman Khan did likewise to his Ready co-star Asin Thottumkal. Salman Khan, Asin and director Anees Bazmee on the sets of Ready The star goaded his heroine to munch into an insect that was flitting around the trees on the location shoot in Thailand. Ready is being currently shot in the remote interiors, far off from Bangkok, in the jungles. A source on the sets reveals, "Two days ago when the filming was on, Salman realised that a swarm of insects on the barks of the trees. When he checked with the local Thai crew, he was told that they were edible!" The source adds, "In fact some of the Thai guys collected the insects in a bucket and demonstrated that you could munch them." The actor then challenged Asin to try it and even picked one and held it out to her. The crew members expected her to squeal and run, but the actress coolly took it, popped it in her mouth, shrugged and went on with her shot! The entire crew, especially Salman besides producers Bhushan Kumar and Rajat Rawail and director Anees Bazmee were left floored and awestruck by her fearless attitude. When asked about how she could pull that off, Asin says, "There's nothing to it... it's all in the mind." Hopefully her stomach was as strong as her mind, after having such 'local' delicacies!
