It was a far cry from the elegant and composed strut down the catwalk we saw from her on Friday night.But high heels and icy pavements are never a good combination, as Kelly Osbourne found out to her detriment last night.
The reality TV star succumbed to the slippery conditions as she arrived in New York's trendy Meatpacking district for a night out at the Standard hotel with some friends.
As she got out of her chauffeured car, she tried to navigate her way around the ice and slush, her studded stilettoed feet slipped and gave way underneath her.
Thankfully she escaped injury and managed not to hit the ground as she grabbed on to a friend who helped her upright and back on her feet.
Maybe Kelly shouldn't have taken a tip from Victoria Beckham, who stepped out in shy-high heels on Friday night in New York, but had the good sense to enlist the help of a burly bodyguard to guide her across the icy pavement.
Kelly, 25, is in Manhatten attending attending various catwalk shows for New York Fashion Week and had earlier been spotted a fashion show for contemporary women's clothing brand Alice + Olivia.
Still flaunting her slimline figure, Kelly looked bang on trend in her short black dress - and Alice + Olivia design - with monochrome accessories.
She topped off with a black and white checkered coat, also an Alice + Oliva which had been given to her to wear for the occasion, to brave the city's icy temperatures afterwards.
She posed for pictures as she arrived at the event at the Provocateur nightclub and as she went to take her seat, the cutaway back of her dress showed off her angel wings tattoo on her shoulder blades. 
After checking out Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet's collection, she went on to party with some friends, but the night took a dramatic turn when she ended up in hospital with a friend.
Taking to her Twitter page today, she explained how she and designer friend Brooke Dulien had an accident while in the ladies toilet of the Boom Boom Room, the penthouse bar of the Standard hotel.
Although it was unclear exactly what happened, Kelly tweeted: 'I woke up covered in blood because a glass door exploded on my friend of the bathroom of the boom boom room last night!'
She adeed: 'We were with a dr untill 4am in the morning getting her looked at and bandaged up it was crazy.'
Miss Dulien, who is also Kelly's stylist, then tweeted back to say she was 'bruised & bloody, but will survive!'

Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley have spent much of the last two weeks living apart, after the singer decided to move into a London hotel. They did not reunite yesterday for Valentine's Day, as footballer Cole was laid up at their Surrey home with an ankle injury and his wife was working in the capital.
The couple's marriage has come under increasing strain after revelations that naked photographs of Ashley were sent to a topless model.
Since the news broke last week, Cheryl, 26, has been staying at Kensington's Baglioni Hotel rather than their home.
Her publicist insisted she was merely using the room as a base for a promotional tour of Europe. But her home is actually much closer to Heathrow airport, from where she has flown to the Continent several times in the past fortnight.
Mrs Cole's publicist did little to quell speculation by refusing to comment on a string of questions about the relationship.
The Girls Aloud singer spent Valentine's Day at a rehearsal session in Earl's Court, West London, for tomorrow night's Brit Awards performance.

But he denied sending them to Miss Wild and claimed he passed on the unregistered pay-as-you-go phone to close friend Jay Wynters, who in turn gave it to another friend, who found the images and sent them to the model. The pressure-mounted on the footballer yesterday as Miss Wild said it was definitely him who sent her the naked pictures of himself.
She also told the Sunday Mirror that he rang her four times on her mobile, asked to meet up with her and even offered to fly her to America while he was on tour out there with Chelsea.
A friend said that Mrs Cole is feeling 'incredibly confused'. They added: 'She'd been telling friends she was still madly in love with Ashley and said the marriage was stronger that it had ever been.'
This is not the first time the Coles have faced a marital crisis. In January 2008 hairdresser Aimee Walton claimed she had engaged in drunken extramarital sex with Ashley.
