Protest against Sneha

Sneha is caught in a controversy that is snowballing into a major religious issue. The actress has visited the Thiruvannamalai Temple and also participated in the Girivalam that the temple is famous for. The girivalam is a 14 km walk around the temple.Apparently, as per the religious faith and temple rules, the devotees are to walk the entire stretch barefoot. However, the actress, said to be suffering from a leg ailment, has been advised by her doctors to use a slipper at all times.Due to this, the actress was seen walking with her slippers on during the Girivalam. According to Sneha, she uses a special slipper made of cloth while visiting the temples and she had done so during the girivalam.A religious group Hanuman Sena has taken offense to this and has held several protests in Vellore.
