Paying a Heavy Price for Making a Sacrifice!

The fate of 'Kurbaan', one of the most awaited films this year which released recently has affected many of those associated with it. The one man who has been in a state of shock after the release is the promising writer Rensil D'Silva who made his debut as a director with this film and had great expectations. The others who have been affected are the music directors Salim Sulamain and the lyricist Nrianjan Iyengar, who being a South Indian wrote some of the best songs in Chaste Urdu (he has also written the songs in Karan Johar's 'My Name Is Khan'). The other two people severely affected have been the lead pair Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who believed that they had given the film their best and expected wonders after the release. But the film has not been able to do wonders at the box office and the producers have suffered losses. Saif and Kareena Jodi which was most talked about during the making and the promotion of the film did not work out with the same chemistry they share in reel life unlike in real life. This has also affected their next film 'Agent Vinod' which has the same Jodi in the lead which is learnt was set up with huge budgets. The financiers have asked Saif's production company to cut down the film's budget considerably owing to the fact the response 'Kurbaan' has got. The film was to begin shooting soon after the release of 'Kurbaan' and is being directed by Sriram Raghavan.
