Big Brother's Chanelle Hayes pregnant with first child

Former Big Brother contestant Chanelle Hayes is expecting her first child, it has been revealed today.
The reality TV contestant, who is is now in a relationship with Middlesbrough footballer Matthew Bates, is said to be 'delighted' at the news.
It comes just five months after Chanelle, 22, was hospitalised for attempting suicide following a blazing row with Bates, 23.

She was found unconscious on the floor of her Wakefield home after overdosing on sleeping tablets, paracetamols and four bottles of wine.
She spent a night at the Pinderfields Hospital and later explained: 'I thought: "I can’t make Matt happy, I can’t make anyone happy, I can’t do anything right, I can’t even make my stupid self happy, so it’d be much easier for everyone if I’m not here".'

 

 A source told the Sun that the couple have now put their 'dark days' behind them.
'Chanelle is absolutely thrilled and Matthew is over the moon too,' the source added.

Chanelle first found fame in Big Brother 8 following an on-screen romance with fellow housemate, former boy band singer Ziggy Lichman.
The couple soon split after leaving the house and self-styled Victoria Beckham look-alike quickly established herself as a glamour model, boasting on her website she is 'the sexiest housemate ever'.
In May 2008, she attempted a pop career with her debut single I Want It, which reached a dismal no. 63 in the charts.
That same year, she also released a perfume called 'Mwah'.
