Sixteen sizzling beauties will fight a beautiful battle to outdo each at the Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2011 contest to be held in the city on March 9. The girls were selected from all over the country after they auditioned at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata. They will represent East, West and Northern India, while the four finalists from Miss South India pageant will represent the Southern region.
All hail the queen: City-based model Nicole Faria became the first
Indian woman to win Miss Earth Crown in December last year.

Manappuram Group of Companies Chairman V P Nandakumar, Media Committee Head Roy Manapallil, Pegasus Chairman Ajit Ravi and Pageant Groomer Valentina Mishra made the announcement at a press conference that was organised in the city.
V S Srinivasan, GM of Manappuram Group of Companies, launched the jingle of Miss Queen of India, which is written by Ajit Ravi and is sung and composed by Sam Shiva. The 16 participants contesting for the coveted title are Nikitha Narayan, Aishwarya Muraleedharan, Divya M S and Denzilina Brown from the Southern region, Aakrithi Goyal, Rupa Khurana, Mahima Bhakshi and Romika Bhatt from the Northern region, Saba Khan, Sneha Chattopadhyay, Sriya Smitha Chootray and Ranjana Mishra from Eastern region, while Bhawna Ahuja, Pooja Bhamrah, Surabhi Rao and Abhiruchi Sharma from the Western region.
The main title of the event is sponsored by Manappuram Group of Companies, whose flagship company, Manappuram General Finance and Leasing Ltd, is the largest listed and highest credited rated gold loan company in the country. Grooming sessions will start in Cochin, Kerala on 5th of March 2011.
