I want to direct films, marriage can wait: Priyamani
In her first Kannada film ‘Ram’ opposite power star Puneeth Rajakumar the national crown actress Priyamani surfaced before the media after the routine address on the dais and disclosed that she fix the remuneration for her films based on the market strength. I know Kannada film market is small and the remuneration for this language is comparatively less she admitted to a question. With high regards for ‘Paruthiveeran’ that has given a break for her in second innings Priyamani has great respect for the Malayalam film ‘Theera Katha’ where she has portrayed a very matured role. I go by the script and not by money when the offers come to me she said. She is pinning high hopes on ‘Raavan’ of Mani Ratnamji that is made in Hindi and Tamil. Apparently ‘Ram’ in Kannada and ‘Raavan’ Hindi and Tamil for Priyamani is a great coincidence as both the titles are prominent personalities of the epic Sri Ramayana!
I am Tamilian, I grew up in Bangalore and did psychology so I got the opportunity learn this language. I can speak fluently Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam language plus English stated Priyamani.
On her role in ‘Ram’ Kannada film opposite Puneeth Rajakumar the bubbling actress says she cannot have better launch in Kannada than this one. The role is pretty good. In the torn relationships my love interest is my portion that is a great role. Priyamni and Puneeth Rajakumar starring ‘Ram’ (remake of Telugu film ‘Ready’) slated for release on Christmas day. The second film of Priyamani is opposite Golden star Ganesh is also a remake of Telugu film ‘Kushi’.
On marriage and other areas of diversification in filmdom - Priyamani says marriage is quite far away and she has an eye on direction. I have to learn a lot of things to head the megaphone she admits.
